FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed diesel engine control method comes to control of beginning of fuel delivery of diesel engine nozzle at each working cycle by periodically connecting and disconnecting above-plunger space of fuel supply space through bypass valve Opening or closing a bypass channel connecting above-plunger space with low-pressure fuel delivery space through, at least, one bypass port. Signals with delay are formed for operation by pass valve and control of fuel delivery at each working cycle by opening cutoff channel by lower cutoff edge of plunger in fuel pump barrel. Control of beginning of fuel delivery is provided by forming pulse signal by signal by signal by signal generator of electronic regulator, delaying of signal and supplying of signal to electromagnetic drive of bypass valve. Angle of beginning of fuel delivery relative to moment of overlapping of bypass port by upper cutoff edge of plunger is corrected by synchronizing the signal to bypass valve drive with position of diesel engine crankshaft. At emergency cut out of signal to bypass valve drive, beginning of fuel delivery is determined by moment of complete closing of bypass port by upper cutoff edge of plunger.
