FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: storage tank comprises reservoir with shell disposed on base in an enclosure. It has a housing with cable strapping inside, free placed on shell and consisting of longitudinal cables connected with circular straps. Diameter of upper circular strapping is smaller than that of shell by at least 10% . Longitudinal cables are provided with shock absorbers. If shell happens to be destroyed with resultant reaction effect of jet the reservoir will move under effect of plastic-elastic deformation of longitudinal cables and shock absorbers. EFFECT: localization of liquid spillage and reduction of mechanical damage in cases of damaged reservoir shell. 2 cl, 2 dwg
