DEVICE FOR HIGH-LEVEL RADIATION LIQUID RADIOACTIVE WASTE HARDENING Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: nuclear material reprocessing technology. SUBSTANCE: device has cylindrical body with two input stub pipes which one is used for liquid radioactive waste putting on and another is meant for feeding by hard granular inorganic material which is saturating by liquid radioactive waste of high-level radiation. Device body has third stub pipe for high-level radiation hard waste disposal. In body there are two drums placed in line along body axis, one of them is meant for liquid radioactive waste introducing in granular inorganic material up to saturation and drying, other drum is meant for tempering. Both drums are supplied by magnetic drivers for reversible rotating, both have truncated cone-shaped bottoms with central loading and unloading ports. Drums have heating elements placed inside at drums axis and hard waste transporting aids made like internal pass checkers with ribs and blades. EFFECT: better flow processing for liquid radioactive waste hardening. 1 dwg
