METHOD FOR STOMACH RESECTION Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: experimental medicine; stomach surgery. SUBSTANCE: stomach is mobilized. Seromyotomy is performed over the line of anticipated resection. Exposed mucous membrane is sutured by the UO-60 apparatus. Duodenum is dissected and sutured. Resection is effected. Short loop of empty intestine arranged retrocolically is sutured to stomach stump over resection line. Empty intestine is dissected transverse. Drop-shaped window is cut on large curvature of stomach stump to correspond to sizes of dissection of empty intestine. Stomach stump window and dissected empty intestine are anastomosed side-side. Rear anastomosis lip is formed by single-row interrupted sutures with suturing all layers of anastomosed organs. Front lip of anastomosis is formed by two- row sutures: taken into first row of sutures on the side of stomach is mucosal-submucous layer and all wall of empty intestine. The second row is applied seromuscular for additional peritonization of ear lip onto loop of empty intestine and onto stomach stump with application of interrupted seromuscular sutures. Stomach stump is fixed in window of transverse mesentery. EFFECT: prevented reflux of content of small intestine into stomach stump, provision of emptying of stomach stump by portions. 4 dwg
