FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: monochloroacetic acid is used as reagent 1, gaseous ammonia is used reagent 2. Reaction is carried out at 40-70 C in methanol medium in the presence of hexamethylenetetramine (water content in it being 10% ), molar ratio monochloroacetic acid: hexamethylenetetramine is (9-15): 1. Chloroform is added additionally into reaction mixture, its quantity being 3-5 mass % of monochloroacetic acid quantity. Thus prepared aminoacetic acid has melting point 233 C, its yield being 98.5-99% . EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method. 1 tbl
