FIELD: beer-and-soft drinks producing branch of food processing industry. SUBSTANCE: barley is washed in a continuous water and air blow, additionally-wetted and let germinated in a cross flow of a conditioned air. At the last stage of germination the air blowing is interrupted for 3-4 hours until an average drying temperature of the germinated barley equal to 34-35 C is attained in the thick bed which is downward moved in a countercurrent with a heat transfer agent with a temperature of 80-85 C. The relation between the specific flowrate of the heat transfer agent and the specific capacity of it is 31: 32. The relation of the bed depth to the specific capacity is 0,0295-0,03. EFFECT: enhanced production efficiency. 3 dwg
