FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: air-dried roving is worked with aqueous solution of sodium tripolyphosphate at concentration 0.3-0.6 g/l and prevocel (0.2-0.3 g/l) at 60-65 C for 15 min. Cooking is carried out for two stages. At the first stage oxidative cooking is carried out for 30 min in aqueous alkaline solution of hydrogen peroxide containing sodium tripolyphosphate (0.3-0.6 g/l) in the presence of sodium silicate (9-11 g/l), ash soda (7-15 g/l) and at total alkalinity of solution 4-8 g/l (on the basis of sodium hydroxide), and hydrogen peroxide 1.1- -1.5 g/l (on the basis of active oxygen). At the second stage sulfite-alkaline cooking is carried out at 93-95 C for 0.5-2 h in solution containing ash soda (9-12 g/l), sodium hydroxide (1.9-2.2 g/l), and sodium sulfite (3-8 g/l) at temperature raising up to 93-95 C for 10-20 min. Between first and second stages washing in aqueous solution of sodium tripolyphosphate (concentration is 0.3-0.6 g/l) at 60-65 C for 15 min is carried out. EFFECT: improved method of linen roving preparation. 2 tbl
