FIELD: rifled firearms. SUBSTANCE: firearm comprises barrel 1 with breech ring 2, bolt 4 and loading chamber 3. Leading section 5 of barrel 1 is formed by rifles 6 in the form of gas-bypass channels, rifle lands 7 and longitudinal groove on each land. On shooting, rolling bodies 9 of leading part of shell 10 move over grooves without sliding friction while powder gases flowing through rifles bring pressure to bear on walls of shell 10 thus reducing its radial deformations caused by internal pressure of charge. EFFECT: reduction of friction losses and of radial deformations of shell whose leading part comprises rolling bodies. 2 dwg
