FIELD: specific furniture usable in a medicine. SUBSTANCE: couch frame has two longitudinal side beams interconnected by cross bars. The bars has flexible strings provided with a tension mechanism. Cross ribs are supported on the flexible strings having an inclined middle portion and a horizontal portion engageable with the flexible string. The cross ribs are oppositely inclined and have a soft cover plate on their free edges. A vertically adjustable lumber rest is disposed at the middle part of the couch. Rests are supported on the string between the ribs so as to provide for optimal spreading the load on each rib. The structure enables traction and unloading of the spine.
