SUBSTANCE: device has a frame composed of cross - piece members 1 and side members 2 with longitudinal guides, flexible tapes 3 fixed between the cross-piece members, rigid transverse ribs 8, units for changing curvature of a surface defined by the ribs including slides oppositely located in the guides of the side members, elastic members interacting with the ribs and lumbus support member. Each rib has windows through which the flexible tapes pass, protrusions formed at the level of windows and directed from the lumbus support member, shelf 11 in the upper portion and oriented in the same direction and shelf 10 formed in the lower portion and directed to the lumbus support member. The ribs furthermore are provided with stops located in the lower portion towards the lumbus support member and having cylindrical surfaces for interacting with protrusion 12 of an adjacent rib. Elastic members 14 are located in the lower portion of ribs between flexible tape and shelf. Oppositely located slides interact with the lower portion of opposing ribs.
