FIELD: mechanical engineering, building. SUBSTANCE: air-operated percussion machine has coaxially mounted casing 1 carrying rigidly secured handle 2 and air delivery rod 3, housing 4 with rigidly fastened working tool 5, piston 6 with rod 7 placed longitudinally movably in housing 4 and coupling 8. Rod 7 encloses air delivery rod 3 of handle 2. One end face of coupling, which faces handle 2, is rigidly connected with rod 7 of piston 6 and its second end face embraces housing 4. Piston 6 accommodates air distributing device 9. End face of coupling 8 facing handle 2 is made in the form of piston 10, diameter of which is equal to inner diameter of casing 1. Piston 10 in conjunction with casing 1 forms buffer chambers 13 and is provided with radial holes 11 intended for periodical communication with opening available in air delivery rod 3 of handle 2. Openings 12 made in casing 1 are periodically closed by piston 10. Such design ensures disabling of machine, when it is transferred from one place to another. EFFECT: improved safety of machine operation. 1 dwg
