FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: unit has an electromagnetic, for example, powder sliding clutch which is used as a drive and a double eccentric eccentricity control mechanism. Inner and outer clutch members are rigidly connected to inner and outer eccentrics respectively. An induction coil controlling the magnetization coefficient of the ferromagnetic powder filled in the clearance between the inner and outer clutch members is electrically connected to a power source, for example, a secondary transformer winding, or directly, or through a damping resistance. Switching within the electrical circuit is provided through a special control circuit. The control circuit has a displacement transducer, for example, inductive, which core is rigidly connected to the actuator of the eccentric mechanism, a transducer sinusoidal signal-to-direct current voltage converter, a setting device for setting a particular voltage value, a comparator for comparing the values of signals of the transducer and the setting device and feeding a resultant signal. Moreover, the control circuit has a switch device, for example, an electronic relay, which break contacts are brought in parallel to the damping resistance in the power circuit of the electromagnetic clutch.
