FIELD: atomic physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering, particularly to control and safety systems of fast-neutron nuclear reactors. The actuator of the absorber rod for emergency protection of a nuclear reactor includes an electric actuator, a reducing gear and a rack mechanism. The electric actuator comprises a contactless electric motor on permanent magnets, mounted in the housing of the electric actuator, with a position sensor for the rotor of the motor, a reducing gear for varying the rotation frequency of the electric actuator to obtain the required velocity and force characteristics of the actuator. On the axis of the rack mechanism there is a gear rack for providing back-and-forth movement of the absorber rod of the control and safety system, connected thereto, through a rack pinion. On the inner shaft of the rack mechanism there is an electromagnetic gear clutch with a contactless current lead to allow rigid and synchronous mechanical engagement of the half-clutch, wherein the actuator has a reverse clutch which is kinematically linked to the rack pinion to prevent upswing of the rack during reset, a rack reset spring and position sensors for the rack gear.
EFFECT: shorter time for introducing negative reactivity into the reactor core during emergencies, high reliability of the scram rod actuator.
