FIELD: test engineering. SUBSTANCE: strain-gage mounted on specimen in the course of testing procedure, is provided with width and depth deformation measuring units. Each unit has two supports with contact lips, mounted for relative translational displacement and connected to each other with elastic member having deformation pick-ups positioned on it. When strain-gage is set on specimen to be tested, depth deformation measuring unit driven by pneumatic actuator is moved out of area where specimen section is located. Strain-gage has a forcing-out mechanism as well, made in the form of two rocking beams which allow supports of depth deformation measuring unit to be withdrawn from specimen. EFFECT: increased productivity and information capacity by means of measuring lateral deformations across the width and depth of sheet specimen subjected to uniaxial tension test. 5 dwg
