FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: balloon filled with liquefied gas is subject to influence of magnetic field. Magnetic permeability of the balloon filled with liquefied gas is measured amount of liquefied gas in balloon is determined from standard curve achieved according to results of N measurements of integral magnetic permeability corresponding to N different preset values of amounts of liquefied gas in the balloon. Device for realization of this method has inductance coil, reeled upon balloon filled with liquefied gas (the coil is electrically isolated from the balloon), sine voltage generator, pulse former, frequency divider, clock pulse oscillator, electronic switch, pulse counter, OR-NOT gate, rejection pulse former, register, decoder, indicator.
