FIELD: manufacturing of rolled product. SUBSTANCE: roll chuck set has top chucks 1,2 and bottom chucks 3,4, with bottom rolls being in contact with supporting rolls 5,6. Wedges 9 and 10 are mounted in chucks at one side of shaft of rolls 7. Top roll balancing hydraulic cylinders are mounted with their one side adjacent to shaft 7 in chucks and with their other side in wedges 10 of bottom roll chucks. Inclined surfaces of chucks and wedges are made stepped so that closed cavities are defined. Two wedge-shaped thrusts 21 mounted within each cavity are interconnected by helical tie 22, which is conjugated with thrusts, by left-hand and right-hand threads. As helical tie 22 rotates, thrusts 21 are moved to change position of wedges 9 and 10. It allows force of horizontal wedge hydraulic end thrust and angular position of working rolls in horizontal plane to be regulated. EFFECT: increased serviceability of bearing units, rolls, reduced labour consumption and improved quality of rolled product. 2 dwg
