FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: pneumatic shears have frame with movable guide knives secured on its uprights, stationary knives mounted in knife beam and knife beam drive in the form of two air cylinders. Knife beam with stationary knives is secured on rods of air cylinders. Annular bushing with guide axle is secured on knife beam for engagement of guide axle with internal surface of hollow rod. Receiving plate is rigidly fastened to frame and has guide slots for stationary and movable knives . One retaining strap is rigidly fastened to frame and other is secured horizontally movably on sleeve base. Retaining straps are provided with catching-and-retaining slots.
