FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method involves alkylation of naphthalenes with olefins and/or aliphatic alcohols in the presence of synthetic zeolite-containing catalyst containing aluminium oxide, silicon dioxide and 0.5 wt. -% silicon oxide (not less). Before alkylation catalyst is degasified at 120 C (not lower) and under residual pressure 10 tors (not more) for at least 40 min. The catalyst is poured over with melt naphthalene at 220-230 C (not more) and kept for at least 5-10 min. Method is used for producing of high-temperature organic heat carrier.
