ESTIMATION METHOD OF ADHESION OF FUNGI OF GENUS CANDIDA ON EPITHELIOCYTES Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

Abstract RU 2010859 C1

FIELD: medical microbiology. SUBSTANCE: method consists in the following: adhesive reaction between epitheliocytes and microorganisms, calculation of adhesive microorganisms recounting for one epitheliocyte. Then additional differential centrifugation of epitheliocytes is used after reaction through density gradient ficoll-verographin in order to find out quantity of stable- and weak-adhesive microorganisms on cell and rest of microorganisms is calculated again. At estimation of fungi Candida adhesion centrifugation of epitheliocytes is carried out after incubation through gradient ficoll-verographin with density of 1,077 during 10-20 min at g 30-50. Percentage of stable-adhesive microorganisms is calculated according to formula K1=X2/X1·100%, and percentage of weak-adhesive ones is calculated according to formula K2=(X1-X2)/X·100%, where X1 is average value of total quantity of adhesive fungi on 1 epitheliocyte after incubation; X2 is average value of quantity of adhesive fungi on 1 epitheliocyte after centrifugation. At value K1>50 fungi are estimated as stable- adhesive and at value K2>50 fungi are estimated as weak-adhesive. EFFECT: rise of precision at estimation of fungi adhesion on epitheliocytes.
