FIELD: thermal treatment of materials. SUBSTANCE: steel article is subjected to hot deformation and then it is annealed. Preliminary mechanic treatment is performed, and the article is heated to austenization temperature. Then article is cooled in hardening medium with simultaneous influence of electromagnetic and ultrasonic fields. Process is finished by tempering. EFFECT: improved reliability of operation.
