FIELD: oil industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves cleaning of a damaged welding seam 1 and the area lying on both sides of it followed by applying an adhesive composition on the other side of it and gluing an insulating material to the area so prepared. The improvement comprises the following. The adhesive composition is applied on the cleaned area 2 along the tube length of at least 120 mm on the other side of the welding seam. An insulating material in the form of a nonrigid wire is wound in two rows on that length of the tube. Further both the entire area defined by the left and the right rows relative to the welding seam and the welding seam itself are wound by string winding 4 impregnated with the same adhesive composition. Still further all the unit is wound again on the adhesive composition in two rows with wire 5 being of 2-2.5 mm in diameter. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of liquidation damages. 1 dwg
