FIELD: determining dynamic characteristics of buildings. SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: applying a shock pulse train to one or opposite walls of an object to be tested so as to excite its resonance oscillations. The pulses are applied with the aid of groups of strikers located at different levels and having explosive charges. Time intervals between pulses are set in accordance with actual periods of natural oscillations of the object. For this purpose each succeeding group of charges is blown up using a signal from a response sensor of the object to the shock excitation. The sensors are disposed at different levels on the wall opposite to corresponding group of the strikers. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy. 1 dwg
