FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: tested sample is put into rigid sleeve in which space testing and combustion chambers are integrated as one unit. Sensitive element manufactured in the form of plate with rod passing through sample attached to butt of sleeve is placed directly on free surface of sample. Loading of sample is accomplished with the aid of charge of explosive. High-speed photorecorder enabling continuous dependence of displacement of free end of rod on time X (t) to be obtained in process of compression and unloading of tested material is used as registration gear. Knowing X(t) dynamic properties of tested material for instance, energy capacity, may be obtained by calculation which in most of cases is sufficient for design of damping gears.
