FIELD: soil science. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking soil samples from examined plots for each component of nanomicrocombinations and from each horizon, assessing and content of free iron and estimating the static condition on the basis of obtained data. Novelty lies in that soil samples are selected and tested for and iron content by seasons while for irrigated soils, in summer additionally in inter-irrigation time and on the first day after watering while assessment is carried out on the basis of revealed laws of year-long dynamics. EFFECT: higher reliability and authenticity of assessment due to determining the functioning of soil covering. 3 dwg
