FIELD: pneumatic classification of friable materials. SUBSTANCE: classifier comprises casing in the form of vertical round shaft, spout for loading feedstock and unloading coarse product, pipe unions for delivery of air and discharge of dust. Arranged along casing axis is drive shaft carrying rigidly secured transfer members in the form of cones with radial ribs whose height grows towards cone base. Transfer members rigidly secured to casing between the cones have the form of overturned truncated cones positioned opposite the flexible members rigidly secured to casing. Said transfer members are made as linked-up belts. Feedstock is delivered into spout for loading into casing on the cone where it is picked up by radial ribs. Particles of material are uniformly scattered around cone. Free dust particles and aggregates are fed via transfer member onto underlying member and again interact with flexible members.
