FIELD: control of underground fires. SUBSTANCE: holes are drilled from surface and are isolated from surface. Reduced gas pressure is created in holes, gas is sampled from holes to determine concentration of indicator gases after recovery of pressure. Pressure of gas in holes should have smaller values than pressure of gas in area of fire. Pumping of gas from holes is repeated till indicator gases will be detected in it. In this case day surface bordering on holes or side surface of holes is covered with layer of airtight material. EFFECT: reduced time and enhanced efficiency of underground fire control. 5 cl, 1 dwg
