METHOD OF APPLYING TRACHEOBRONCHIAL ANASTOMOSIS IN CASE OF RIGHT-HAND PNEUMOECTOMY Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, particularly, pulmonary surgery. SUBSTANCE: in order to raise efficiency of new method through minimizing post-operative complications due to more reliable and properly sealed stump connections, trachea is intersected along caudal edge of cartilaginous semiring with inner coniform portion in region of cartilaginous portion. Bronchus is intersected along cranial edge of semiring with outer coniform portion in region of cartilaginous portion. Membranous portion of bronchus is incised at boundary with ends of cranial semiring. Cranial cartilaginous semiring of bronchus is inserted into trachea stump opening with fastening down sutures on cartilaginous portion of anastomosis and following sewing together membranous parts of trachea and bronchus in edge-to-edge manner. If diameters of stumps intolerably mismatch, sphenoid section of trachea cartilaginous portion is incised on left-hand side at boundary with membranous portion and subsequently sphenoid defect is eliminated by applying sutures. EFFECT: lower rate of post-operative complications.
