FIELD: drilling of oil and gas wells. SUBSTANCE: samples of drilled rock are taken in the process of drilling. The activity of drilled rocks, the rate of their dampening in distilled water are determined. The amount of stabilizing agent is calculated by formula: . For determining the amount of electrolyte product Cst.agKp is found, compared with the present value equal to 3.0 ± 0.5. Electrolyte is introduced if Cst.agKp>3,0 ± 0,5. Its amount is calculated from condition:
, where Cst.ag - amount of stabilizing agent in drilling fluid, % ; Kp - coefficient of activity of stabilizing agent, with mineralization of drilling fluid aqueous phase taken into account; M - content by volume of solid phase in drilling fluid in fractions of unity; Vr - rate of dampening of drilled rocks in distilled water, m/h;
- mineralization of void water, mole/l; Z″ - valency of void water cations; Cc - content by volume of colloid clay component in drilling fluid, % ; Vo - required rate of dampening of drilled rocks, m/h;
- required mineralization of aqueous phase of drilling fluid, mole/l; Z′ - valency of cations of drilling fluid aqueous phase. EFFECT: facilitated procedure.
