SUBSTANCE: device for hydraulic patterning and method in which fabric cloth is transported through the patterning post along machine direction on conveyer, preferably, on drum, having supporting surface formed with pattern of raised or continuous zones and lowered or hollow zones. There is one or more lines with nozzles for producing fluid jets. Nozzles are located above conveyer for direction of continuous curtain of fluid downward for dynamic action on fabric so that fabric properties vary in compliance with pattern of supporting surface.
