FIELD: mining industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry and can be used in open development of inclined and steeply dipping deposits of solid minerals. Method of forming an internal-external dump of overburden with different physical and mechanical properties on the pit edge includes excavation of a layer of loose rocks of the upper horizons of the pit to a depth of rock mass, creation of a site along the slope of the pit edge with subsequent formation of a dump of current overburden rocks on this site. Extracted loose rocks are transported to a distance that provides the design parameters of the dump, and are stored in a separate block on the external dump on the side opposite to the slope of the pit edge. On the vacant site, a safety shaft is poured from rocks of the rock overburden and an internal dump with a smooth transition to the external dump is created in the operating pit. In contact with a separate block of loose rocks on the side of the pit, a block of semi-rock overburden is dumped, which, in its turn, is loaded with a block of dump of overburden rocks. Part of the block of overburden rocks is located in the pit outline. Each of the blocks can have several tiers, the number of which in the block is selected taking into account the volume of overburden and the stability margin. Each of the blocks and tiers is formed simultaneously with possibility of their separate development.

EFFECT: formation of internal-external dump by separate blocks from different types of rocks, providing general stability of slopes and possibility of simultaneous development of each tier and block separately.
