FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: partitions are erected in the gob area in the checkered pattern in such a way as to enable the filler material to flow around them and fill the area between the partition under the action of gravity. The distances between the inner surfaces of partitions are determined from the condition of roof span stability. The partitions are provided with a shelf to retain and distribute the filler material. The shelf is disposed between the partition walls and rigidly connected to its butt faces. The shelf may have a convex shape. The filler material forms strips of the fill which outline the unfilled cells of the gob area. The fill acquires a honeycomb structure.
