FIELD: manufacture of engines. SUBSTANCE: for feeding water to the fuel-and-air mixture of engine, water is injected into the intake system in form of film in direction of flow of the mixture, after which it is evaporated in working cylinder of engine. Device for feeding water to internal combustion engine has water jet with outlet opening which is mounted in intake branch pipe and is brought in communication with the water tank by means of mains. Device is provided with regulating member. Outlet opening of jet is made in form of flat slit in the center zone of the intake branch pipe which is oriented towards working cylinder of the engine. Water jet is connected with main through a tight chamber where regulating member in form of needle valve may be arranged. Provision is made for fitting the device with regulating valve in the main when it is connected with throttle valve drive. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg
