FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: fuel is heated under pressure up to the overheated state. The fuel is then supplied to the evaporating unit in portions. Each fuel portion is evaporated in the vacuum space. Air enters the evaporating unit, mixes with the fuel vapor, and mixture obtained is injected into the sucking manifold of the engine. Overheated water can be fed to the evaporating unit simultaneously with the fuel. The fuel supply system has air pump, fuel pump, unit for heating fuel under pressure, and evaporating unit made up as a vane- rotor vacuum pump. The sucking space of the vacuum pump is in communication with the air pump and the unit for heating fuel through passageways. Valves are mounted in each of the passageways. The delivery space of the vacuum pump is in communication with the sucking manifold of the engine. The fuel supply system can be also provided with water pump and unit for heating water connected with the sucking space of the air pump. The fuel and water pumps can be made as vane-rotor pumps and their rotors can be mounted on the shaft common to the rotor of the vacuum pump. EFFECT: simplified method and improved design of the system. 6 cl, 10 dwg
