FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in ICE fuel systems, mainly, with spark ignition. Proposed method consists in feeding oxygen into internal manifold and mixing it with fuel-air charge, feeding fuel-air mix into combustion chamber, feeding hydrogen into electrode zone and igniting said mix. Metered oxygen and hydrogen feed is effected in all operating conditions. Hydrogen is fed pulse timed to spark discharge. Hydrogen is fed into engine cylinder from pneumatic accumulator 14 via injector 18 at the end of compression stroke and before spark discharge. Injector 18 is fitted in plug bore 17. Pneumatic accumulator 14 allows constant hydrogen pressure. Amount of fed hydrogen is varied automatically by means of vacuum regulator 22 in compliance with engine rpm. Oxygen is fed receiver 9. Receiver 9 communicates with inlet manifold 5 via oxygen pressure control valve 10. Invention covers also ICE fuel system running on said principle. ICE fuel system initiates onboard hydrogen and oxygen generator 7.
EFFECT: optimised combustion, reduced toxicity of exhaust.
