FIELD: waterworks. SUBSTANCE: water inlet-outlet comprises forebay 1 with water inlet-outlet hole 2 communicating with pressure water conduit 4, and protective wall 5 positioned before hole 2. Lower side of said wall 5 is attached by joint 6 to bottom of niche 7 forming a clearance between said niche bottom and lower side of wall 5 in its lower position. Cross-section of protective wall 5 is wing-shaped with a convex upper surface. To limit turning of protective wall 5, the forebay 1 is provided with retaining members 8 and shock-absorbing stops 9 installed on retaining members 8 and on the bottom of niche 7. When hydraulic accumulating electric station operates in turbine mode, protective wall 5 is in lower position and water flows gradually from forebay 1 into water inlet-outlet hole 2 and thence into pressure water conduit 4. In pumping mode of electric station the water moving from pressure water conduit 4 into forebay 1 flows around top and bottom of wing-shaped protective wall 5 which latter is lifted by arising lifting force and turned by on-coming flow around joint 6 all the way to bear against retaining members 8. The flow emerging from hole 2 is deflected upward by wall 5 which reduces the risk of washout of bottom of forebay 1. When electric station is subsequently shifted to turbine mode, wall 5 acted upon by water flow turns in opposite direction and resumes its lower position. EFFECT: improved design. 5 dwg
