FIELD: prospecting for oil and gas fields. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic cylinder 9 of vibration exciter is provided with distribution control valve and two shut-off valves placed in circuit of hydraulic control of positioning of control valve. Amplitude of vibrations is controlled with the aid of controlled butterfly-type valve 19 with damper 20. Change of vibration frequency of inert mass 12 is achieved by supply of changing volume of working fluid through duct 28 fed with hydraulic power plant with servo valve.
