FIELD: rescue work. SUBSTANCE: unit is designed for enabling many people to move between two zones positioned in a spaced relation to each other. It has a flat rigid floor fit to be laterally deformed and stretched to match the curved shape. The unit also accommodates floor-deforming members mounted to substitute the flat shape of the rigid floor for an operational one having recesses positioned in series in lateral direction. Above mentioned members can have a layer of waterproof fabric fixed to be joined to the lateral sides of the rigid floor. The members are also provided with connections positioned all along the length of the rigid floor so as to unwind and deform the latter to match the above- mentioned recesses. The connections are filled with compressed fluid forced into them. The upper layer of the floor is capable of forming an urgent slip-way or gangway for many people to be rescued. Luggage of the latter being rolled down a special slip-way formed by the floor. EFFECT: higher safety, increased velocity of forming a passage. 19 cl, 11 dwg
