FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves first washing IIIX-15 steel grinding waste with water then with 1%-solution of sulfuric acid with water. Washing is effected in dense compacted layer of waste in perforated-bottom barrel with liquid filtered under gravity through layer of waste. Waste is dehydrated to 20-25 % moisture content by weight, unloaded on vibratory screen with 4-mm mesh, and dispersed during screening. Then it is loaded on netted trays 50 mm high and transferred into vacuum filter with fan and electric air heater. Concentration of sulfuric acid in aqueous solution is changed in accordance with initial content of oiling waste. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 2 tbl
