FIELD: salvaging of dispersing metal waste. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to processing of slurry waste of high-speed steels formed in process of polishing or sharpening. Wet waste of steel polishing carrying up to 20 % of moisture and 4-5% of oil is subjected to filtration drying at 95-100 C up to moisture content of 5-6%, is annealed in capsules under layer of quarts sand in two stages: first at temperature 800-800 C with heating by flame till coke is formed from solid residue of pyrolysis and then with extinction of flame at 100-1050 C with decarbonization and removal of gas from waste. After annealing waste is crushed, subjected to magnetic separation, grinding and compaction. Sintering of compacted product is performed in atmosphere of hydrogen at 1380-1400 C.
