SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary heating along line of cutting of hollow glassware; heating by focused laser CO2 beam to temperature exceeding glass softening temperature but less than glass evaporation temperature; providing additional heating by means of secondary heat source to temperature less than glass transition temperature.
