FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in welding of parts made, particularly, from copper or titanium alloys or steels. Tool composed of working core running at high rpm and made from high-hardness material is fitted in parts to be welded and displaced over the entire length of joint. Welding zone is additionally heated by irradiation with focused laser and polychromatic beams integrated into single beam by conical shield with protective quartz glass. Polychromatic beam is fed to conical shield at an angle. After welding, said core is withdrawn from the joint and part is cooled.

EFFECT: higher factor of laser energy absorption, intensive heating of edges.
