FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves killing metal in pouring ladle by aluminium in the process of melt discharge; introducing ferrous alloys and alloying metal by aluminium in ingot molds. Consumption of aluminium for alloying of metal in ingot moulds is determined in accordance with expression qAl=a+15τ, where a is coefficient equal to 180-220 g/ton; τ is time of blowing metal in ladle by neutral gas, min. Aluminium is uniformly added during filling of ingot mold for 0.5-0.75 of ingot mold height. When final ingot is cast, consumption of aluminium is increased by 15-25%. EFFECT: production of high-quality steel. 3 tbl
