FIELD: oil and gas producing industry. SUBSTANCE: oil production is increased and well inundation is reduced by formation of artificial barrier by injecting isolating compound to under lenticular natural interlayer. Artificial barrier is formed with radius equalling double thickness of cutoff layer of formation water- bearing part, and thickness withstanding pressure of 30-80 atm. Prior to injection of isolating compound, minimum size of cross-section of natural lenticular interlayer is determined by mapping and thickness of shutoff layer of water-bearing formation part.
