FIELD: computer technology; automatics. SUBSTANCE: coder has read-out unit 1 with read-out coils 2 (single at least) and magnetic system 4, formed by permanent magnets (single at least). It also has card 5, formed by two non-ferrous plates. Magnetic elements 6, made in form of cuts of the wire, are treated especially and have preset lengths. The magnetic elements are disposed in preset sequence between the plates in one or more rows in parallel one to another in any row. Coils 2 embrace channel for inputting card in unit 1, they are disposed at angle to longitudinal axes of magnetic elements. Coder may be used for storage and reading-out of data in guard systems, coded locks. EFFECT: improved sensitivity; improved reliability; increased volume of information to be coded. 3 dwg
