FIELD: manufacture of stools. SUBSTANCE: stool has fastening device for connecting leg with working surface. Fastening device has threaded portion and annular conical belt, both disposed at leg end. Working surface is provided with bosses disposed along perimeter. Number of bosses is equal to that of legs. Each boss has receptacle for receiving threaded portion and conical belt of leg. Truncated portion on receptacle end is in contact with conical belt of leg. Supporting cap is mounted on retaining belt in lower part of leg. Legs are made hollow with at least three stiffening ribs converging in axial line. Cap has supporting surface provided with corrugation.
