FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: combined crystallizer for continuous ingot casting has cooling working walls, butts of which are joined with each other and form in the corner zones a crystallizer of transitional sections. The crystallizer has the following design features: upper and lower parts of corner zones have spacers, mounted perpendicularly to its opposite wall. Thickness of the spacers changes in direction to metal exit from crystallizer. Length of spacers, mounted from sides of upper and lower parts of the crystallizer is determined by formula l = /0,1-0,2/ · L, mm with l - length of spacer, mm and L - length of crystallizer, mm. All working walls of the crystallizer are equidistant from each other. EFFECT: combined crystallizer is used for continuous ingot casting. 1 dwg
