FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: mechanism has two coaxial gearshifting cylinders arranged symmetrically relative to geometrical axis of housing and two gear selection cylinders arranged above gearshifting cylinders. Cylinders are arranged on base in common housing and are secured on gearbox cover in zone of shifter rods and forks. Placed coaxially inside each cylinder are two different diameter pistons. Smaller diameter pistons are connected with axles-rods closing in middle part on lever whose tailpiece gets into slots in gearbox shifter rods. Cylinders are closed at ends by covers and form, together with covers and pistons, closed working spaces communicating with supply lines of electropneumatic valves arranged directly in cylinder sockets to increase reliability and quick response of mechanism. Mechanism has position sensors installed in cylinder covers. It has also clutch, fuel feed and engine shutoff electropneumatic control valves. Gears are shifted in by means of speed setters connected with control logic electronic unit by electric cable. Logic unit is installed on base and is coupled with electropneumatic valves and sensors of mechanism. Main members of mechanism are covered by protective casing to enhance reliability.
