FIELD: power converters. SUBSTANCE: D.C./D.C. converter is designed in particular for power supply of drives of ultracentrifuges. It has at least two power controlled keys 1, 2 which inputs are connected to outputs of corresponding formers 3, 4 of controlling signals. One of inputs of each of them is coupled to proper output of control unit 14. Its other input is connected to output of light detector 6 or 7 of optocoupler of corresponding protection circuit. Protection diode 12 or 13 and limiting resistor 15 or 16 are connected in series with light emitter 8 or 9. Limiting resistors 15,16 of protection units of power keys 1, 2 connected in series are interconnected through supplementary resistor 17 and form voltage divider placed in parallel to these keys. EFFECT: enhanced operational efficiency and reliability. 2 dwg
