FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: device includes rods 1,2 and 3 and arc 4 with rod clamps 5 capable of moving along and about arc 4 to enable rods 1 and 2 to enter bone in different planes and at certain angle to each other. This method prescribes inserting rods 1 and 2 into subtrochanterian region through puncture made in soft tissues based on X-ray test results, with intersecting fracture lines 8, and then fixing bone fragments. Disclosed method further prescribes fitting clamps 5 via openings 7 in rods 1 and 2, allowing arc 4 to pass inside, orienting concave portion of this arc so that it faces femur 9, fixing arc 4 to rods 1 and 2 by means of screws 6, fitting third clamp 5 on arc 4, using this clamp as jig to pass rod 3 through and insert this rod through puncture in soft tissues into femoral bone in front of sagittal plane and securing clamp 5 of rod 3 in position by screw 6 to finalize external fixation of device.
