APPARATUS FOR OSTEOSYNTHESIS OF FEMORAL BONE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: traumatology. SUBSTANCE: invention concerns treatment of femoral bone fractures. Apparatus contains a bar with, installed on it, femoral bone proximal part immobilization unit and the same for distal part of femoral bone. Apparatus also has an additional bar. Principal bar has a plate on its end, surface of which is perpendicular to bar axis. The first unit is made as arched support with bushing for holding principal bar on one of its end and coupling for additional bar on its other end at an angle not more than 90 deg. Support and coupling are attached to bushing of arched bracket with spokes. There are also removable strip and bracket joined through flexible pull stud with bone rod. Coupling has inclined openings for spokes. Femoral bone distal part immobilization unit is made in the form of angle section, one of its shelves is dovetailed with plate of principal bar with straight-line guide. Rod holder with bone rod and patch piece is dovetailed with arched self of angle section with arched guide. Additional bar bears removable spoke holder with spokes. Each bone rod has axial opening for guiding spoke and screw head with end cutting edge. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 8 dwg
